What is OZEV?

The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) is a team working across government to support the transition to zero emission vehicles(ZEVs). They are providing support for the take-up of plug in vehicles, as well as funding to support chargepoint infrastructure across the UK.

In November 2020, the UK government announced a commitment to end the sale of new petrol and diesel petrol and diesel vehicles by 2030, and that all new cars and vans will be required to be fully zero emission at the tailpipe by 2035.
